Stefsbest ( Sportswriter - Smyrna Duruisseau ) won his heat of the APG 2 year old colts division at Tabcorp Park Melton on March 23 and ventured to NSW for the semi - final where he was placed third. He ran a very strong race in the final to claim the $60,000 second prize in the Group 1 event.

Lauriston purchased a Western Terror - Art Princess filly at the Sydney APG Sale for $37,000. Pistol Abbey is trained by Emma Stewart . Abbey finished 3rd in her APG heat, fifth in the semi and ran Third in the Gr1 final to earn $30,000 for her placing. In between she won a race at Kilmore.
