Lauriston Bred' Just Hope ' ( Bettors Delight - Queen Of Pop ) claimed victory in the NSW Oaks on Saturday Feb 26. It was the second Group1 win for the filly who won the Bathurst Gold Tiara as a 2 year old. Trained by Russell Jack and brilliantly driven by Nathan Jack she bounced back from a third in her heat the previous week. Just Hope was sold privately as a yearling after an approach by clients of Lauriston.

Ladies In Red claimed the title of Australasian champion 3 year old filly by winning the Australasian 3 Year Old Fillies Breeders Crown at Tabcorp Park Melton on November 20 2021.
Again coming from the back row draw of Barrier 12 she made her run with a lap to go and drew away to win by 5.3 metres in Australian and Track record time of 1.53.1 for 2240m, last quarters in 27.8, 27.6.
Her prize money is now $489,500. 17 starts for 14 wins and 3 seconds and 3 Group 1 victories.

Honolulu Bay returned to the races first up after 5 months away in the $75,000 Group 2 , 4 and 5 year old Championship at Tabcorp Park Melton. It was a dominant win for the son of Somebeachsomewhere-National Gallery in a field where he was the lowest prize money earner. The time was 1.53.6 over 2240m 30.4, 27.6, 27.3, 27.6. Honolua Bay made it 2 from 2 this time in winning the GR2 4 Year Old Breeders Crown Championship in a time of 1.54. coming from Barrier 11 he made a long sustained run from the back of the field beating a quality group of horses. He will now contest the Vicbred Series.
Lauriston fillies were outstanding in the Victoria Oaks with Beach Music ( Musical Delight ) and Ladies In Red ( Kabbalah Karen B ) winning both heats of the Oaks.
The Oaks Barrier Draw saw Beach Music in Barrier 3 and Ladies In Red again fare badly in a Group1 race with Barrier 10. Both were forced to work outside the leader at various stages of the race. The best filly in the race prevailed with Ladies In Red a 6.5 metre winner in a time of 1.56.5 over 2650m, sitting in the death for the last lap and a half with sectionals of 30, 29.4, 26.9, 27.5. She is an outstanding filly with Clayton Tonkin stating that she is the best juvenile the stable has trained. Her record speaks for itself; 14 starts 13 wins and a second. $384,700 and a best time as a 2 year old of 1.51.9.
Kabbalah Karen B has now left a Vic Derby Winner in Our Little General and a Vic Oaks Winner in Ladies In Red. Our Little General also won the 2 and 3 year old Breeders Crown and Ladies In Red won the Breeders Crown at 2 .
Beach Music ran a excellent third. She has been a big improver in her 3 year old year and both fillies will be major players in the Breeders Crown and Vicbred Series in November and December.

It was a very exciting finish to the APG Vic Gold Bullion Final ( Group 1 ) on Saturday May 29 at Tabcorp Park Melton.
The winner was the Lauriston bred Irish Black Label ( Bettors Delight - Rosie OReilly. ) After drawing badly in Barrier 10. David Moran was content to bide his time near the rear of the field, pulled out in the back straight and led up the three wide line. The speedy filly reeled in the leaders to win by 1.10 metres in 1.55.4. This was her third race start for 2 wins and a second and $85,980 in prizemoney.
Lauriston had a hand in the breeding of all 3 placegetters. First and third horses were bred by Lauriston and they also bred the Dam of the second placed horse.
The Rocknroll Hanover horse Yankee Rockstar is to stand this season at the Goodtime Lodge stud of Ian and Judy Slater at Elliminyt near Colac. His first commercial crop foaled in the 2019/20 season are good types and have received positive reports from breeders.
