Our Little General ( Mach Three- Kabbalah Karen B ) won the $20,000 Youthful Stakes for 2 year old colts and geldings at Tabcorp Park Melton on February 19. It was his second race start after a second placing 2 weeks prior. Beginning from Barrier 4 the colt began quickly and challenged for the lead but ended up in the death seat until he obtained one / one cover. He then came 3 wide on the home turn to win running away by 6.7 metres. The overall time was an impressive 1.55.8 , final quarters 28.9 , 28.1. Our Little General was a $39,000 purchase at the Melbourne APG Sale in 2015. HIs winnings are now $16,252. He is trained by Emma Stewart and driven by Chris Alford.
