Countdown ( Top Tempo ) won at Swan Hill on November 4 in a mile rate of 1.55.2 which is a personal best and a new Track Record for Swan Hill. His record now stands at 29-8-6-4. He is trained by Faye McEwan and was driven by Josh Duggan.
Yankee Rockstar ( Aston Villa ) has continued his good form since his return to the track. He won at Maryborough on November 2 and won the final at Tabcorp Park Melton on Friday November 14 in an impressive performance. It was The Rockstar of old !. He was near the tail of the field after drawing Barrier 11, then went 3 wide to the death where he sat for the last lap before careering away to win by 12 metres in 1.56.7 over the 2240. He is now 3/ 3 this season . It was his toughest test to date and he came through with flying colours.
A NSW trip will be decided upon in the next few days . The horse was turned out in excellent condition by Emma Stewart and Clayton Tonkin and driven by top reinsman Gavin Lang.
